🎬 What is a Video Clip?

A video clip is a group of shots packaged together for your chosen video generator. StableGen batches shots based on the script’s production method (for example, first/last frame or Veo 3.1).

  • Clips never mix shots from different scenes.
  • Each clip stores a generator-ready prompt (single prompt or multi prompts).
  • Frame requirements depend on the template (first only, first+last, or all first frames).

🧭 Clip List & Status

The left sidebar shows every clip in the scene with:

  • Shot count and total duration
  • Status badges indicating whether all required frames are ready
  • Template label for the production method used

Click a clip to open its details panel.

🖼️ Image Assets for This Clip

The table summarizes each required image in the clip:

  • Each row represents a required frame (first, last, or elements).
  • If a clip only has one shot that needs both first and last frames, you’ll see two rows for that shot.
  • Click a row to focus the shot details panel below.

📝 Clip Prompt

StableGen generates a clip prompt using the production method’s prompt guide:

  • Single prompt: One continuous prompt with transitions between shots.
  • Multi prompt: A separate prompt per segment when required.
  • Use the copy icon to paste into your generator UI.
  • You can click to edit the prompt inline if needed.

🧩 Frame Assets & Generation

Below the prompt, you’ll see the frame generation UI for the selected row:

  1. Link entities (characters and stages) for the shot.
  2. Select assets for each linked entity.
  3. (Optional) Reference frame to maintain continuity.
  4. Generate the frame once all assets are selected.

Use the thumbnail gallery to choose your best version and open it in the editor if needed.

🔁 Regenerating Clips

If you change shot details or update frame assets, you can rerun the video clip generation job to refresh prompts and clip groupings.
